Dowie Doole's Cellar door is a wonderfully realised piece of architecture and was a joy to photograph. I was enlisted by Scholz Vinall to document this building for the upcoming AIA awards.

The reveal of this building is in the way the end doors and slatted partitions open up to the vineyard and grassed area. Transforming the three shipping containers into a facility that integrates interior with the exterior and offers great versatility in the way the building can be experienced.

The premise of the layout is that the staff can remain in a central position, view all of the separate areas and facilitate wine tasting, service and dishwashing.
